Mbappe vs Manchester City: Will He Play?

Mbappe vs Manchester City is one of the biggest questions before the second leg of the champions league when the Real Madrid coach Alvaro Arbeloa was confident that Mbappe would make it back in time to play the important game.

Arbeloa gave an encouraging news in a press conference on Friday and informed about the progress of Kylian Mbappe, who is recovering. The forward has been struggling with a knee injury which has sidelined him in the previous weeks.

The Real Madrid coach stated that Mbappe would not be in the next La Liga game against Elche on Saturday. Nonetheless, Arbeloa feels that the striker is making a good progress and may even accompany the squad to visit the Champions League match in Manchester.

The first leg has seen Real Madrid defeat Manchester City by 3 goals to nil in the Santiago Bernabeu, which gives Real Madrid a great edge. Federico Valverde gave a remarkable performance as he scored a hat-trick, which provided Madrid with a strong lead to the second half.

The second match will be hosted in the Etihad Stadium on the following Tuesday. The lead Manchester city are currently experiencing makes it a hard task to reverse the deficit in order to remain in the competition.

Mbappe has not been seen since late February after pulling out of the squad before the Champions League knockout play-off game with Benfica. The injury is a left knee sprain and has restricted his participation although he has scored impressively this season.

The France international was in excellent shape before the setback. This season, Mbappe has scored 38 goals in 33 matches that have made him one of the most valuable attacking players in the Real Madrid team.
