Arsenal’s new midfielder Martin Zubimendi will make his Arsenal debut on Wednesday after joining from Real Sociedad for £60m this month. European football fans know and expect the Spanish player. He helped Spain overcome England in Euro 2024 final.
Arteta said the club coordinated their needs. He added the club wanted Mikel Merino and Zubimendi and that Sociedad was pleased.
“I think it was a really well-orchestrated plan by the club, and everybody that was involved in it, to understand how we could get what we wanted in two different years, and both at the same time,” Arteta said.
“Both players wanted to come, which is important. I think Real Sociedad understood the situation and played well.
“We and the players did what we desired. I think Real Sociedad was pleased with the result, so it’s good for everyone.”
Arteta said we’re pleased to have him play for us and praised his learning.
“Six. Very excited “stated.
As I’ve stated previously, having him every day around the building and in training sessions is astonishing. He captures and processes information on the pitch.
“I’m very, very happy to have him.”
