Ayyoub Bouaddi Morocco switch FIFA approved?

Ayyoub Bouaddi Morocco switch has been officially approved by FIFA, so the highly-rated Lille midfielder will now play for Morocco at international level.

Born in France to Moroccan parents, the 18-year-old had previously played at the youth level for France. Even he led the France U21 team in a European Championship qualifier match. He’s now made his pledge to Morocco for his senior international career, though.

This is a big success for Morocco’s football project. FIFA’s Players’ Status Chamber has given the Moroccans the green light to change their nationality.The nationality change has been approved by the Players’ Status Chamber of FIFA, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation reports. This will immediately qualify Bouaddi to play internationally, including in major tournaments.

Bouaddi is considered one of the most exciting young midfielders in Ligue 1. He has now played over 90 games for Lille for all competitions. He’s come up very quickly and for his age is a mature performer on the ball.

His most notable success was early in his career when he was 16 years and three days old to make his debut in a match for a European club competition. That record proved he had proven his ability on the continental level.

This addition will add to Morocco’s already ambitious squad. The national team is developing a lot of younger, European-trained players who will soon become significant parts of the team. Bouaddi gives them creativity, control and depth in midfield.

The transfer also comes as an increasing international phenomenon, as dual-nationals are making important decisions during the early years of their career in football.
