Monaco Coach Hints Pogba Comeback

Paul Pogba will possibly play Monaco first time in his life once the midfielder is reported to be on the point of his long awaited return after the head coach Sebastien Pocognoli hinted on Friday. The 2018 world cup winner who has not been playing since September 2023 may play on the occasion that Monaco play Rennes on Saturday.

It was a very difficult time that the 32-year-old has had to live through. Among the frequent injuries, a doping suspension and an extortion scandal which shook his personal life have seen Pogba play only 12 games in the last 3 seasons. His transfer to Monaco in June was considered a clean sheet, but he was hindered by physical problems before he could be involved in competition.

Pocognoli made the best news of the week. He disclosed that Pogba has had a number of motivational training sessions and attended the tactical exercises throughout the international break. The coach said that his touch, awareness and decision-making are the characteristics of his best years that he retained.

The quote has raised a speculation that Pogba will be coming back soon. Some of the Monaco fans, who are so eager to witness their marquee signing, are hoping that this will be the day when he returns to professional football.

Pogba could also bring emotional support to the team in case he is included. His leadership and experience are potentially good resources in addition to his technical capability, as Monaco attempt to get their season on track. Though it is not yet known how many minutes he could play, the fact that he could be back is an actual step towards a long process of rehabilitation.
