LA Real Madrid vs Atletiko Madrid previews are already in progress with Real Madrid preparing to have a critical La Liga derby at the Santiago Bernabeu. After their recent win at Manchester, the team went back to training in Ciudad Real Madrid, with an organized session of recovering and being game ready.
Those who played the last game were given less load work so that the level of fitness could be maintained without excessive work. The other team members underwent a high-intensity working session. It started with some drills of activation and rondos, to improve the passing and movement. The drills next changed to possession drills with finishing similar to how the tactic would be in the next derby.
Sprint routines and shooting drills also took place as a part of on-pitch work, which helped to sharpen the attacking. The session was followed by a small sided game, where players were presented with real-life situations in cramped areas. The important players Jude Bellingham and Eder Militao were partially training with the group. Both still subscribe to separate programs when they train on their way to complete fitness.
In the meantime, Dani Ceballos, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo are still recuperating. They are still not sure about their availability to the derby and this makes the selection process complex to the coaching staff.
The rivalry that is going to be faced between the two matches is likely to be tough as the match against Atletico Madrid is going to be followed by the fact that the points matter at this point in the season. Having concentrated training and combination of the recovery and tactical exercises, Real Madrid seem to be eager to go into the derby in good shape.
