Ronaldo Jr Al-Nassr headlines have emerged after Cristiano Ronaldo’s teenage son produced a standout display for the club’s U-17 side, scoring twice in a 2-1 comeback victory over Al-Ahli Jeddah.
The 16-year-old came off the bench in the Sept. 20 matchup and took the lead and then went into a recovery mode to bring the game to a close with two goals. His performance immediately drew fans’ eyes once his father Cristiano Ronaldo posted snippets of his performance on social media.
Al-Ahli got the better of the start but opened the scoring in the seventh minute. A header from a free kick came from the hand of Marwan Abdullah Al-Muwallad to put the away side ahead. Ronaldo Jr had his reply less than five minutes later with great individual brilliance. The teenager was able to receive the ball near the halfway line and immediately attacked the open space and run past two defenders.
He then moved at the keeper and rounded him and slipped the ball into an empty net to even the score. His pace and composure in front of goal were on display for all to see in the finish. Then the young forward found the target again as Al-Nassr turned things around to grab all three points in the U-17 affair.
His first goal was impressive due to the way he was able to carry the ball from the depths and beat numerous opponents before finishing the goal himself. It was also a show that raised much of the discussion regarding his famous father and Ronaldo Jr is still in the early stages of developing his footballing career.
