Football legend Aaron Ramsey departs at 35 after nearly two decades. The former Wales captain announced his decision on Tuesday, reflecting on his career highlights and challenges.
Ramsey started his career with League One Cardiff City in 2006 before joining top European clubs. After successful periods at Arsenal, Juventus, and Nice, he returned to Cardiff from 2023 to 2025. His last professional deal ended last year with Pumas UNAM in Mexico.
“This has not been an easy decision to make,” Ramsey added. “I have decided to retire from football after much thought.” His words convey the sensitivity of leaving a lifelong sport.
