FIFA Suspends Ronaldo World Cup Ban

It has been a huge boost to Cristiano Ronaldo before the world cup FIFA in 2026, with the governing body deciding that his red-card suspension on an offence will be largely suspended, and he can take part in the opening matches of Portugal in the world cup next summer. The decision is based on his dismissal in a shock 2-0 defeat against Ireland in Dublin where Ronaldo was fined as result of hitting defender Dara O’Shea.

This send-off became the most prominent during the entire long and illustrious international career of the forward, during which he appeared on 226 occasions. After reviewing, FIFA banned four games, albeit two of these will be pending under one year probation, and the other one has already been deemed served.

In response to an inquiry made to AFP, it was certified that in the event whereby Ronaldo commits another offence of such a serious nature during the probation time, the suspended matches would be immediately implemented. This conditional leniency makes the all-time highest goal scorer of Portugal available to the much-awaited kick-offs of the enlarged tournament.

Having achieved 143 international goals, Ronaldo is still intent on continuing his legacy, by playing in the sixth world cup competition in history. The forward, who plays in Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr, is now 40 years old, and he keeps on proving that age is just a number, as he has still managed to form and influence both the club and the international arena.

On other issues, Ronaldo also became a global trend when he visited the White House at a formal dinner with U.S President Donald Trump. As a part of the campaign to enhance the media presence of the forward in the world, the President mentioned that his son Barron admires Ronaldo and this only motivated the player even more to perform well in the tournament.
