Liverpool Nottingham Forest produced another dramatic Premier League encounter at Anfield on Saturday as the Reds twice came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.
The home fans were amazed in the 24th minute when Dan Ndoye got the opener for Forest. Goalkeeper Matz Sels was able to make a long clearance long inside Liverpool territory, which was handled by Igor Jesus who played with control and passed to Morgan Gibbs-White.
Gibbs-White then found Ndoye, who was unfazed to tap the ball into the bottom corner to give Forest an early lead.
It looked like Liverpool had come up with an equaliser when Florian Wirtz was able to get the ball into the bottom corner. But the attempt was disallowed on review, however, because Jeremie Frimpong had been in an offside position when he was the source of the assist.
The visitors got the lead back later in the game after Liverpool had rallied back and Gibbs-White netted from the penalty box to give Forest a memorable win at Anfield.
Liverpool, however, wasn’t going to give up and found a late answer. The forward was in fine form for his first game, coming off the bench to salvage a point for the hosts and making a fantastic comeback.
This leaves no loser, with the teams sharing the spoils from an entertaining game that had the ball bouncing from side to side.
The Reds will feel a lack of purpose for Liverpool to draw them but Munoz’s late intervention saw them avoid defeat. However, Forest will be buoyed by their performance dislodging the Premier League title contenders at Anfield.
