Manchester City Complete Reijnders Transfer from AC Milan

Manchester City announced the £46.5m, five-year signing of AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders on Tuesday. He had the most goals and assists of any midfielder in Serie A 2024-25 during his two years with AC Milan.

For Milan, Reijnders scored 15 goals in 54 games across all competitions, twice his previous high. The Netherlands international started his career at PEC Zwolle, then AZ Alkmaar and AC Milan. Pep Guardiola signed Reijnders, Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli, and Rayan Cherki this summer. Reijnders was thrilled to join City and highlighted his future aspirations.

“I am thrilled to join Manchester City. City has the best coach, players, and facilities and is one of the biggest teams in the world.City has won so many titles under Pep Guardiola, and I want to help keep it going with more success in the coming years, Reijnders stated.

It’s a dream to play in the Premier League. Many of the best Dutch players have played in this competition, inspiring others.

After joining the club in time, Reijnders is eligible for the FIFA Club World Cup in the US starting June 15 and might make his debut on June 18 against Wydad FC.
